Massachusetts Child Support Calculator
Planning estimate for Massachusetts child support using a generic gross-income heuristic. Does not implement the state guideline or determine a court order.
Estimate only — these are not official figures
The modeled budget uses annual gross incomes and entered expenses, allocated by income share. Overnight entries only select a payer. The Trial Court’s guideline worksheet and chart are not implemented. This tool does not implement the state guideline; none is an official guideline amount.
Do not rely on these amounts for budgeting or payment. For exact amounts, check the Massachusetts Trial Court, Child Support Guidelines: https://www.mass.gov/info-details/child-support-guidelines.

Key State Information
Income Shares guideline context: The Massachusetts Trial Court publishes the 2025 guidelines and a worksheet effective December 1, 2025. The court’s resource page also links a findings and determinations form for child support and post-secondary education, as well as the economic review and task force report. Earlier guidelines and forms are listed separately, with their respective periods of effectiveness. Someone preparing a current worksheet should select the materials that apply to the case rather than assuming a planning estimate represents a court calculation. It also provides a chart of per-child calculations based on income. This site does not complete that worksheet.
Example Calculation
A planning calculation before the worksheet
Two children, $80,000 and $46,000 annual gross income, 230 nights with Parent 1, $8,400 care and $3,600 insurance give Parent 2 a $1,208.41 monthly proxy.
Result: With one child, $65,000 and $35,000 income, 160 nights, $3,600 care and $2,400 insurance, Parent 1’s modeled share is $1,245.83 monthly. The Trial Court worksheet is separate.
