Florida Child Support Calculator
Planning estimate for Florida child support using a generic gross-income heuristic. Does not implement the state guideline or determine a court order.
Estimate only — these are not official figures
Annual gross income and the number of children set a proxy budget here: 17% for one child, increasing by 5 percentage points per additional child through five; entered care and children’s insurance are added and shared in proportion to gross income. Nights select the modeled payer only. Florida’s net-income deductions, schedule and substantial-time-sharing calculation are not included. This tool does not implement the state guideline; none is an official guideline amount.
Do not rely on these amounts for budgeting or payment. For exact amounts, check the Florida Statutes §61.30: https://www.leg.state.fl.us/statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&URL=0000-0099/0061/Sections/0061.30.html.

How This Calculator Works
Calculation methodology and assumptions
Annual gross income and the number of children set a proxy budget here: 17% for one child, increasing by 5 percentage points per additional child through five; entered care and children’s insurance are added and shared in proportion to gross income. Nights select the modeled payer only. Florida’s net-income deductions, schedule and substantial-time-sharing calculation are not included. Key State Information
Income Shares guideline context: Florida Statutes §61.30 determines each parent’s income monthly and provides a support-needs schedule. It also prescribes a separate calculation when court-ordered or agreed substantial time-sharing applies. This gross-income proxy does not perform that statutory calculation.
Example Calculation
Why the overnight input needs care
Two children, annual gross incomes of $72,000 and $48,000, 240 nights with Parent 1, $6,000 care and $2,400 insurance yield $1,160.00 monthly for Parent 2 under this site’s proxy.
Result: For one child, $54,000 and $30,000 in annual gross income, 180 nights with Parent 1, no care and $1,800 insurance, it assigns Parent 1 $861.43 per month. Neither amount applies §61.30’s time-sharing provisions.

Our editorial standardsFrequently Asked Questions
Does this apply Florida’s substantial time-sharing calculation?
No. Section 61.30 provides a separate calculation for qualifying substantial time-sharing; the overnight input here selects a modeled payer and does not calculate that adjustment.
