Kansas Child Support Calculator
Planning estimate for Kansas child support using a generic gross-income heuristic. Does not implement the state guideline or determine a court order.
Estimate only — these are not official figures
This estimate allocates a generic gross-income budget and entered costs by income share. The overnight field selects the modeled payer; it does not determine the parent ordered to pay under Kansas law. This tool does not implement the state guideline; none is an official guideline amount.
Do not rely on these amounts for budgeting or payment. For exact amounts, check the Kansas Judicial Branch, Child Support Guidelines: https://kscourts.gov/About-the-Courts/Programs/Child-Support-Guidelines.

Key State Information
Income Shares guideline context: Kansas Statutes §23-3001 addresses support and education of minor children regardless of the custody arrangement, and provides exceptions to termination at age 18. One exception concerns a child who turns 18 before completing high school: the statute describes continuation until June 30 of the relevant school year if the child is still attending, unless the court orders otherwise. It also addresses a written agreement approved by the court and a possible extension on motion for a qualifying student beyond that June date. The order and the circumstances matter to the application of those provisions. A court may order either or both parents to pay. This tool does not determine duration or apply Kansas guidelines.
Example Calculation
Planning amounts and duration are separate
A one-child household entering $64,000 and $38,000 gross annual income, 230 Parent 1 nights, $3,000 care and $1,800 insurance gets a $687.35 monthly proxy for Parent 2.
Result: For three children, $52,000 and $30,000 income, 200 nights, $7,200 care and $2,400 insurance, the modeled Parent 2 amount is $967.68. Neither scenario sets the end of support.
